I just got an email back from Ark resort saying that they have sold and are no longer offering the boat taxi to the Della Falls trail head. Does anybody know if there is anyone else that offers this service?

Thanks,
Dave

A new group is trying to take over the water taxi services on Great Central Lake for this season. Maybe look at the Strathcona Park web site for the most current info.

Isn't there a company called 6-gill charters that offers this service?

Here's the notice that I got from, via a friend, from BC Parks:

Posted: Thu Jun 09, 2011 3:14 pm Post subject:
For all interested I just recieved updates for Della Falls Trail from Parks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

· I’m pretty sure that the Ark Resort isn’t providing any lake shuttles anymore (Rosie/Bruce no longer runs the place and has had to move out of the area). A new company is trying to start up for this season (called me for info just yesterday), but is not quite ready yet. Mike Walker 730-0772

· The cable car at Km 11 was completed last fall and the trail is officially open again

· The upper campground which had been closed for several years was cleared of hazard trees and limbs and is now officially open again for camping. Be warned however that while we did fly in a open style z-best toilet, it has not been dug in (no pit under it) and needs to be sited appropriately.

· As we haven’t checked the trail we are unaware if there has been any bridge damage, trail erosion or blowdowns.

Please pass on to anyone as well as on your website that we are always appreciative of receiving trail condition updates during the opening part of the season as well as when the snow starts flying again.

Ben Potter operates Della Falls Water Taxi 250-723-5170. He has a lot of experience and is properly licensed and insured.
