Taking the advice of my Dental Surgeon I decided to try out Dog Mountain at Mount Seymour before doing a big Snow Shoe (Obviously he did not say to hike dog mountain but to start small to make sure everything in is healing up well.). It was a cloudy day with rain threatening all morning. I hit the trail around noon after dropping my girlfriend off at Stanley Park for softball. The snow was pretty solid all day but a little slippery on the down slope (groin deep post holes seen). After passing First Lake I did not see a person. It was peaceful up on the peak of Dog Mountain with only me the snow and the wind! I did the whole snow shoe doing the First lake loop in just under two hours at a very leisurely pace. After that it was back to Stanley Park to pick up my girlfriend. It was great to get back up into the snow/nature again!

That photo is great, showing the impressive mount of snow over that small foot bridge.

It took me quite some time to actually get that shot. The angles were all wrong and then the bright snow and dark trees played havoc.
