Sorry about all the hyjacking Lynn but just trying to beef up your TR.
Even though it is good, it is to short. 
This is where the past producer claim was.
This is the Old, New, and Ancient or Game Trails are.
This bad pano is the old trail going down to the south end of Flora Lake and the route Karl took years ago before the new trail was put in.
This is where the Ancient or game trail heads down toward Chilliwack Lake from the pass above the south end of Flora Lake.
It can be partially seen in both pictures below.

The trail you have been on at least 8 times is the newer trail.
The older steeper trail starts in not far from the end of the pavement along the dirt road that goes along Chilliwack Lake past the Post Creek parking area where you parked at.
The old steep trail starts in the first picture giverhard posted.

| nice to see people enjoying flora trail.my latest winter/spring route of this regular of mine follows main trail to first little rest stop at 2.4km then goes straight up to next little rest stop b4 gully crossing never getting more than a feww hundred feet from gully.then i continue staight up to ridge.then follow ridge to summit.a good winter route avoiding large south facing gully....bob |

Here's a couple of photos of gsandrock and NSH Marjorie on the old trail in Feb 2007 & Nov 2009.
 
and the view from a lookout on the old trail.
and a map from 1987. I wrote in OLD TRAIL and added a second OLD to the older yet trail when I clued in that newer maps showed a diff trail. I guess the OLD OLD trail was a route/game trail and is probably overgrown now. Could try searching for it from the top down.
