Nice pictures and trip report. There is certainly a lot more snow there now then when I was there in August... Way to take on the cold temperatures. Hopefully I can schedule a long weekend and tackle some scrambles around Aster Lake, in the summer that is.

Cheers,

Dan

Beautiful area, nice pics.

Are you Karl Coulthard's younger brother, I think I went to high school with you (I was in his grade).

I am Karls brother, but I think you went to school with my other older brother Roy.

Probably, I just remember he had a younger brother and we were near each other in lockers at Archbishop MacDonald because they had them by alphabetical order.

Also, I remember he suffered some serious damage saving someone out of a crevasse just before I left that school on the Columbia Icefield. Did he recover OK?

They both fully recovered. They had some serious frostbite on their hands at the time.

Yeah I think the last time I saw Karl he had huge bandages wrapped around both arms up to his elbows. Good to hear he came out of it OK.

Nice tr but i'm calling you out. Why don't you leave your garbage in Calgary where it belongs instead of pissing your mark on summits. Tell your partners to have some fucking respect.

You are absolutely right. We shouldn't have left that stick on the pass...

This seems like an overly strong response to this subject matter though. Is everything okay T2C? Are you having a bad day? Anything I can do to cheer you up? I'd be happy to help out in anyway I can.

Nope, not mad at all. However I am passionate about the mountains and IMO they are no place for people that disrespect them and leave crap behind to claim whatever it is they want to claim by leaving their "mark". Not your fault, but your friends however by letting it slide you were condoning it. Had I seen it in person i'd be saying the exact same thing and not very nicely. Reading my posts, by now you will probably know I am not one to sugar coat shit...no need for it.

But yeah, I like the rest of the pics.

Kevin left his ice axe on Mt. Gordon, but made arrangements for someone else to bring it down...

lol...I guess it's true, however getting it back so soon was more of a fluke given where it was "left".
