The ones where the animal's checking out the camera are kind of cool. Nice shots.

Ther'e a job, eh? Sit in front of a monitor and watch videos all day. 'Course i guess there would be lost of times when nothing at all passes by for many, many hours.

The cameras that parks use have motion sensors. They only take a picture when something goes by. The cameras are checked every so often and the memory cards and batteries changed. They have one on the Tonquin Valley trail right after the Verdant pass junction.

That's so cool. I followed some wolf tracks over North Molar Pass this past September, and thought at the time that was an unusual spot to find them. But one photo there shows wolves right on a scree slope.

Hey Lobo,

I noticed that they didn't capture any photos of you, you must have been hiking too fast!

No, they edit them out so as to not frighten little children.

I was hoping they'd catch the animals doing something interesting- like playing poker or something

I saw this camera near Sherbrooke Lake in Yoho. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_rW8Hbr5p96k/TJg_BtP-zNI/AAAAAAAAFYI/6x0MQsRK-L0/s720/IMG_0800.JPG

Was it for the same purpose? Does anyone know where links like this would be for Yoho? I tried poking around the PC site, but couldn't find them

Thanks

What with the recent announcements of job elimination within Parks Canada, I thought it would be cool to revisit the cool stuff they used to do:
