Mt.Baker-Squak Glacier-Can/US
August 1/10

We got to the turns early for August which is a tough month to ski with all the nice weather
for other activities.I had tentative plan to ski the Park headwall and try and meet Jason.
We hiked up to the Squak in a partial whiteout.A couple teams had already bailed. But I saw
a huge group touring through the clouds and my brother and I followed some faint tracks.
We we're pretty close to turning around till we just slipped through the cloud to the clearing
and met the Hummel brothers and friends.

We all toured up and it was cool to see Jeremy Hummel get up the summit of Baker at
12 years old and ski from the summit.I don't think I would have been skiing Baker at
12 maybe 21.I was probably getting dropped off for hockey practice at that age.But it
was cool to climb and ski the Squak with a big group like that.

Skiers:Andy,Mke,Jason,Jeremy,Josh,Christy,Kyle,Jessie,Juya

Thanks for sharing....

I am glad you gave Jeremy his first power gel to help him climb and ski off the summit....

Good times and a fun route up Mount Baker....

Nice stuff!

Minute ~2:50 in the video is pretty wicked! That is quite the feature to cross. I am now a fan of Slightly Stoopid.

Cheers,

Dan
