Saturday, July 17 My Mom, Dad, Topaz, and I went for a hike on The Hannegan Pass Trail. If you are afraid of butterflies, (like myself) DO NOT hike this trail. There are butterflies everywhere! I am sure that the view is beautiful, but I had no time to gaze around because I had to protect myself from butterflies. (although the road up there is nice) But if you love butterflies this is the trail for you.

Sincerely, Hiker-Girl

P.S. I might add pictures later.

Thanks for the warning. I lost a friend to a butterfly attack once. Monarchs I think.

I fully appreciate phobias and what it's like to be surrounded by what traumatizes you for no rational reason.

This was pure horror for me!

For many, I'd imagine, this would actually be a reason to head up there.

As a heads up, try to avoid Angangueo in Mexico around November

This pic does look a little creepy, a little like the old Alfred Hitcock flavour.

We can try again in the fall once the killer butterflies are gone.

I have never understood why some one needs a phobia of anything.
