He also said that since that since gordo lowered the legal limit to 0.05%, and there is HST to pay at the bars, it has really killed a lot of their buisness, because now, you are legally "drunk" if you stop to have a beer or two with your buddies after work. Hypocrite
Sorry for the thread drift, but the legal limit topic is interesting. I suspect that Gordo lowered the DUI limit in response to intense lobbying from MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving). MADD used to be a political pressure group opposed to drunk driving (as their name suggests). However they have morphed into a neo-temperance movement, intent on limiting all access to alcohol. I don't know their rational. It is difficult to believe the BC Liberals could be so gullible.

I noticed that. They have a great money maker as well, when the family of someone gets killed by a drunk driver, emotionally berates the DD. I stopped giving to them a while back. More kids are being run down by the local 7/11 food offerings than drunk drivers. Why not mothers against shity snacks (MASS). It even sounds Jesus friendly. |
