just an update - i decided to head up to Cypress Lake to stretch out the old legs. This time last year there was snow at 900m and a good 3 feet of snow on the lake itself. This year, the path is clean and clear, no snow all the way up (nor could any be seen on the nearby hills) and the lake is clear. I did go to the east/west views, but the fog/cloud cover was too heavy to see anything.

Thanks for the comparative. Looks like we could get some water shortages this year if we get lower than average rainfall.
