So it looks like I'm leaving the lower Mainland. Things are happening very fast and I'm not sure what's what, but I'd been sort of planning to leave for years. All that hiking was, in a way, a way of saying goodbye to the area. Except I had planned on rebagging a few peaks barefoot. Guess that won't happen, now. 
At any rate, here are some things for free or cheap, if anyone wants them. It beats throwing them out (though I can do that, too). I'm in the South Granville Rise area of Vancouver, and you can email me if you're interested in popping by and claiming any of them.
Free: Silicone spray, Dubbin, citronella bug spray, north shore trail map, BC/Alberta road map (may be out of date?), map of Burke from Burke Mountain Naturalists, flagging, pedometer, cheap compass, a bit of rope (3/8"):
Free: Boots, womens size 38, a narrow fit, worn daily for 8 months, then washed out with soap and water, then not worn since last July. They are a bit worn, but then they're free.
Not Quite Free: My trail work tools: cheap shovel, good Fiskar loppers, camp saw, regular wood saw, crow bar. The shovel is free, but I'd like $1 each for the rest, because I'm going to miss them when they go.
Finally, this isn't hiking related, but Longshadow gave me all these books last year, and I've never used this bunch. Anyone want them? A bit of website design, some database, and Javascript. I was going to use them. Really, I was.
I have other stuff I'm unloading, too (including the carpet and freezer you see here!!!), in case you pop by for some of these and like something else you see. I'll probably do a Craigslist ad in the next couple of days.
Apologies for the blurry pictures. My camera takes terrible pictures close up, and there's a limit to how far I can stand from the stuff and zoom in my small apartment. The other pics were worse. |
