This book influenced my decision, sorta tipped the scale,
to move to the Southwest; in the States.
I have always been enamored with the area. Cormac Mc'Carthy really takes the reader along, as if you too, were saddled up with the kids, on their journey. His descriptions of the desert can make one actually happy to experience stark solitude; freedom from the rat race. You
drift, searching, exploring, until you become weathered, like the land you ride.

Give it a shot!

p.s. I never saw the movie.....won't do it....hehe

I'll try and look for it, same author of "The Road". Very good.I feel myself being there when I read it.

Stayed at his house down in Knoxville in the early 80's - came home with a couple of his books and I was hooked. What a master of language.
