Where to find telemark skis in Alberta?

Checked out a few spots without success; Mec, SportChek, Campers Village, Vallhalla Pure, etc. No one carries them. Yes I can order them online but would really prefer to get some hands on first.

Any help would be appreciated........

Are you looking for skis marketed specifically as "telemark". You know you can use most AT or downhill skis with tele bindings on them right?

MEC carries a ton of AT/Tele skis! Even the Edmonton store, which sells less than Calgary, has a great selection.

Check out...

http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_listing.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302726421&bmUID=1262211080092

3 pages of them online, and you'll find a good supply in the stores, for a few more weeks, anyway.

In Edmonton, go to Track n' Trail, as they have them too. Mostly the same brands as MEC, but some other stuff too.

Some downhill oriented ski shops sell touring gear as well, including tele bindings and lighter touring skis.

Go to Banff and Canmore, and you'll find TONS of AT/Tele skis.

When asking around no one mentioned this; not even Mec. Go figure. I was asking for a complete package so maybe that was the problem. I have no problem in putting together something.

Do you have any suggestions?> I would like to use them for mostly cross country and a little alpine.

No suggestions as I don't tele. Just an observation based on a few people I ski with that are on tele bindings who are very solid at their craft.

I'm an AT skier, but my tele buddies do like G3 skis, and it seems the Saint and Spitfire are good all around skis. I have a pair of Spitfire and like them, though mine have Freerides mounted. The Saint is actually lighter than the Spitfire despite being a slightly larger ski.

I don't know anything about tele bindings, so you'll have to find someone else for comments. They all look floppy to me!
