Avoid using Zinc or galvanized stretched metal for your grill-screen, the heat will release nasty toxic metals into your meat and nose.

Looks like a fine hot meal to celebrate the day. Hopefully you don't have those materials that could cause those problems when heated, as Cambium wrote.

Is that burning fibreglass that I smell? If the heat is enough to cook meat, it's high enough to cook those ice axe shafts.

Definately DON'T use any galvanized metals in fire to cook over or those that you'll be breathing the smoke from.Welding 101;zink fumes KILL!!! Copper and obviously lead too but many don't think about zink as it's fairly inert as galvanizing and is all around us in daily life.Good old rusty steel is ok for my food.
I think I can smell the garlic from here YUM!

Now that is great. I'm going to give it a try this weekend on the trail. Love lamb!
