About 140 people are known to died on Mt. Hood. Not infrequently, bodies are not recovered.

There was an incident in the 70s though when 3 teenagers survived 13 days on Mt Hood.

I was following this story for the past couple of days. The most difficult thing to me is to have to accept someone is dead but not seeing the body. I always believe (or hope) miracle can happen in these circumstances because of the pure desire to survive from humans. But Mother Nature is sometimes merciless, as beautiful as she is.

May they rest in peace at where they loved, dearly.
