Golden Ears Park is closed until further notice due to hazardous road conditions created by the weather. Information and updates will be posted to this site when they are available."
There was about an inch and a half of snow at the top of the incline trail yesterday; things are getting dicey!

| That's kind of odd. I was there on dec 16th and it wasnt closed. They would close it over such a minor thing? |

I understand they opened back up on the Monday after the threat of snow subsided.
It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine how quickly the park gets closed in the event of snow and and/or heavy winds. I realize the park operator does not have the resources to keep trails and roadways open when these conditions are present so I can't bag on them too much . . .
The upside to park closures is how empty the trails are the further you get into the park. |
