Has anyone else noticed how this year is just not as spectacular from a photographic standpoint as last...? Perhaps it was the dry summer or mild winter we had last year but even the sunsets are boring in comparison. One saving grace is those Japanese Maple trees, sooo brilliant and colourful right now... if only I could find a good setting to photograph one in.
The following was taken at the Cap fish hatchery yesterday....
Hatchery
Japanese Maple
This last one is of me in a fog bank on the trails around the hatchery... turned out pretty good so I thought I'd share.

And lastly a shot from the revolving restaraunt at the Landmark hotel.
Cloud Nine
Despite the rain it feels pretty warm outside, if I can find a way to keep the camera dry I'll get out for some more fall shots before the colours are all gone. I've been very impressed with the photos Cwall has been sharing of late and it's inspired me shoot more myself. It's like candy to hit CT these days and see the latest photos being posted... Keep it up people..!

When we were at Manning yesterday I was in awe as we walked under the vine maples. Their canopy of yellow leaves are luminescent in the dark forest.
