My poor Honda. Worse, my poor legs, having to hike up the endless logging road because my car couldn't handle the waterbars. Sigh. An extra 6.5km up & then back. Why didn't I bring my mountain bike? Stupid stupid stupid. Anyhow, enough griping. The locals would know better. Here are some pics.

The good news is I did find the junction for Lady Peak. So that's where I'm going next time! And I'll know to bring my bike (or get a ride with someone who has a high clearance vehicle). |

| OUCH! for the extra 12km. On a busy day I"m sure you would have been able to hitch a ride up and down from someone. I know I'de give someone a lift for sure if I saw them walking. |

| Well, it wasn't all bad. I was in Chilliwack to meet a friend for dinner and hadn't done this one before. Hiking in the Fraser Valley is awesome. I need to get out this way more. |

| I admire you for getting out of your car and walking. I also think you were fortunate to be up there on such a clear day as the last few days have been so~ smoggy here in the "Wack", only clearing up in the evening. Nice pics. |

Good job Guntis. I remember doing nearly the same thing, my Honda could not make it up there about 4 years ago. So I walked the extra stretch, car could go only 1/2 km up from the main gravel road pit. That time there was lots of snow, and was shot the topside parking lot by 1/2 km. Postholed the other way for a view...
Lady Peak is on priority list to hike as well, since I was close with Wally about a few years ago.
