Hey everyone,
I hiked into the extremely remote, extremely hard to find Deer River Hot Springs, by far the most amazing spring I have ever been to.

Full trip report and lots of photos at http://dangrec.com/?p=811

Boo. I don't like you anymore. You didn't invite me. This has been near the top of my Dream list to do for a long time, but nobody has expressed interest in going. After your report, I doubt any of the people I know will be interested, either, unless it involves a helicopter....
Thanks for the report; I've talked to people who claim the springs are just a legend. I suspect they're trying to keep them to themselves, but it could be that they honestly don't know they exist.

| However, if you could give a hint at how long it took you to get up there.... |

| That's okay. I still like you. The report is great, and the shots of the springs very alluring. Knowing how big my list is, I know damn well that the only way I'll ever get to see them is through your TR. |

na, I'll let you figure that out for yourself. :P Like I said, if you try really really hard, you'll get there. This is the hardest wilderness destination I have ever been to, in terms of planning and actually doing it.
