Had a nice hike to v.near Mowich camp on the West end of Skyline 2 last Thursday, starting out in the Skagit Valley prov park. Nice end to start from, saw nobody else just a fawn & its Mom.
Flowers are good but getting roasted! Great trail, well graded & marked. Lots of flies/mozzies & haze from the fires. Worthwhile hike though w. great views of Ross Lake & Hozameen.

Hadn't been to Skagit Valley park before, nice area & will be exploring it further. |

Very nice trail indeed. Too bad about the smoke, good thing there's a call for rain soon . |

Nope.
The trails bikes are allowed on are: Monument 83, Windy Joe, Poland Lake (from ski hill), Similkameen trails, Gibson trails, and Lone Duck.
The last three are flat and around the campsite. Monument 83 and Windy Joe are old roads and not on the skyline - although Monument 83 probably has a better view from the top.
Skyline I, Skyline II, Lightning Lakes, Bonnevier, Heather, etc are all closed to bikes. |
