Hi all, my wife and i spent the last 2 weeks backpacking through Mount Robson PP (Berg Lake/Snowbird Pass), and Kokanee Glacier Park. What a great way to spend a vacation, between the vast jaw dropping scenery in the Rockies, to the subtle beauty of the West Kooteneys, this Province is unreal!!

We were able to summit the Battleship in Kokanee (8563'), and even pampered ourselves with an overnight stay in the ACC hut (which is like a small hotel), at Kaslo Lake, on our last of 4 nights in the park.

If i can offer any sound advice (man that sounded like something my mother would say), watch the weather forcast before you plan your trip. I know that sounds obvious, but it is very necessary on this trip. We were actually getting snowed on and had little visibility on the Snowbird Pass trail, until finally the clouds seperated. It was also the first time we saw Robson (in its entirety) in 3 days. What else can i say, big glaciers, big mountains, big waterfalls, big lakes.

Oh yeah it was me, my wife, 3 ladys from the Surrey area on their first backpack trip, and 31 German tourists in the Shelter at dinner time.

2 weeks backpacking - sounds like a real journey! Did you have a chance to resupply or did you carry enough food for the whole trip?
Did you take any pictures?

Ya, my wifes parents live in Salmon Arm, so we rested (and restocked) for a couple days in between. We ended up hiking for 10 of the 14 days. I have almost 200 pics, but my attempts to post pics on the site have not been successful in the past. Any help for a PC illiterate??
