Well I didnt find it particularly Wild after having done the West Coast Trail BUT the scenery was beautiful! The trail itself is more a path and apart for one set of stairs is wheelchair accessible. I did see everyone from 7 to 70 years old on the trail and met some interesting people from far off places.
The thing that was nice was it is still shoulder season so the crowds are down. Actually I ran into very few people.
 
The trail is broken into three sections and there is a bit of construction going on but total distance is only about 8km.
I spent four days in the area & checked out Tofino, Mussel Beach, Salmon Beach, and Toquart Bay.

My Cabin : Yes it sucked but it was a change from a smelly old tent and sleeping on the ground.

And now to the matter of Survival; The West coast can be a dangerous place to be at the wrong times. I saw SAR fly over a few times.
Then I stumbled upon this on the shore and thought of Survivor Man What could I make out of this to survive?
Later that night I gave it a lot of thought. 
There are plenty of places for sunbathing should you be so inclined.
Yes it was a tough week but there are those of us that will go through any hardship to bring you these trip reports.

It was a nice change from the usual. A 42 inch Plasma TV, bar-b-qued Crab & Steak, listening to the frogs at night and the eagles in the morning, wondering what wine would go good with dinner!!!
I have to admit the bed was so soft my back was bugging me on the 4th night.
Now back to reality . Sigh. That is unless I can find a cheap place to go this week. The tent, sleeping bag, and mat will be in the back of the car just in case.

I used it on this capture.
If used the right way it has some cool effects,like this example. It really brings out the metal in the crab.
