Tried for Hanes Valley last fall, but was stopped by the frothy river.

These two are definitely my priority, as I have not been up that way. Wrong day, and it might be a little early. Got snowshoes, ice axe, and 4 point crampons however.

Just as a heads up to anyone who does want to try Hanes this season, the log jam bridge across Lynn Creek is out, and I think it would take a lot of search or a very large, desparate jump to cross Lynn Creek.
A proper bridge would be nice.... but I think we can only dream about for the foreseeable future. |

| If you due go up and find the huge Hemlock by Norvan Creek (it's off the Coliseum trail) I would appreciate the GPS coordinates. |

Hi Platypus, do you mean the log jam that was on the east side, that took you to the middle island, or the large log a little ways down the island that took you from the island to the west side? Thanks. |

| Hi hemlock. The log jam itself, which starts on the east bank, is still relatively intact. But the big log which went from the log jam to the west bank has shifted dislodged itself from its previous location over the course of the winter and it didn't seem safe to try crossing. |

My GPS accuracy was 11m when I took that, so it should get you pretty close.
