All South and West aspects very dry up the Parkway to at least 3000 m. Wilcox is almost bone dry, Nigel Peak is in good shape and Coleman looked decent as well. We did Sunwapta today, the snow patches were few and far between.

Hi.

Just got back from Mt. Wilcox. It was completely dry! Parker ridge from the highway looked completely dry as well.

LOL. 'I feel your pain'. But I have two neophyte Chinese ladies going up there with me and a couple more people whose level of experience I'm not certain of.

If anyone is heading to the Kananaskis Lakes - Highwood area, let us know what the snow is like. September 6 had 6" of snow at the trailhead of the Highwood Pass parking lot and worse going up Tyrwhitt.

I'd love to know if Tombstone is doable right now...

Same with Banff...Mt Cory to Mt Edith...

Cannot make up my mind!

The September snow has melted everywhere I've been. I'm not able to give you a direct report on either area, but you have a really good chance. It's summer out there!

Just a head's up if you're heading out to the Tombstone area: there was just a bear closure posted on the Piper Pass route (a few km from Tombstone campground) so if you do go you'll want to be a little extra careful.

Ladies and gentlemen, behold a glorious new way!
Behold, an example of someone taking a ribbing with humour, not escalating it into a pissing contest, and joking back.
Everyone goes home happy, amused, and with no personal affronts.
IT CAN BE DONE!
