Hi dodger,
Santa Cruz 4 days is not a hard hike. I am not familiar with the 6 day version but it looks like a good one. We crossed your final pass by car on the way out. Pony's Expeditions is a great company. We had a very good experience with them. They have a few rooms in their home/business that they rent out also. We stayed with them....Alberto (the owner)speaks very good English and is very knowledgeable about the area. Ask for Liliana as your guide and Lucho as your cook and you will not be disappointed. Say hi to Alberto from Dianne and Dave.
When are you going? |

Fantastic! With Peru on my short list for upcoming vacation destinations, I'm going to use this report as a reference! |

| I'm planning to do the Alpamayo / Santa Cruz circuit this July, and came across your report in the process. Thanks a lot - it really helped with the specific details of these treks. And great photos too. |
