Joined a big group to Alpaca Peak in the coquihalla. Great trip.
Originally the plan was to hike Vicuna, but snow was still on the road that you need to drive to reach the trailhead.
We hiked 4.5 hrs in a slow pace to reach the summit. The skies cleared and the views became better, like they always do with sun.
The trail head begins on the other side of the highway from where Needle Peak trail begins.
Great area and doesn't see much traffic.
Snow was quite solid, so snowshoes were not required.
Here are the pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/33343910@N00/sets/72157605627241192/detail/
PS. if you are interested in hiking Vicuna with me in the near future, please email me. As I will go back to do Vicuna(class 3 scramble) and Guanco. Experienced and fit is important on this trail. |

| Let me know when you go; if it is a weekday I definitely want to come! That's a beautiful area, easily accessible from the Coldwater Road once the snow melts out. |

Great trip O ! That was a possible destination for us this past week-end, but ended up choosing something else. |

No, I think I mentioned to you that I'm a "Hiking Whore", though.
I think there were 5-6 people on the trip that are registered on CT.
