It's a little early with the late spring and with all this rain, I've started building a boat and collecting animals (two by two).
Does anyone have any trip reports for the mo-bike trails in K-Country? I am a proponent of waiting for them to dry out, but there are always a few people out early. Anyone? |

I haven't made trip reports of my previous biking, although I've done quite a bit over the years. My favorite being the Elbow Loop. Something like 50 km with some killer climbs on the Romulus side.
Another good one is Powderface ridge. The south portion is very steep but it's worth its effort in views. Wait for this trail to be cleaned up, though because there is plenty of deadfall early in the season.
You can also do a bunch of trips using Prairie Creek trail as a start. Riding this trail to Ford Creek to Forgetmenot is one that's on my list.

The Big Elbow - Little Elbow loop is 38km if you trust the trail signs, 43 if you trust the map.
My boyfriend was out on the sulphur springs, elbow valley, and riverview trails last weekend, and said it certainly had muddy places, but was reasonably rideable. What I saw of the elbow valley seemed decent if you pick your trails to the more open parts. After this rain, however, I think all bets are off. |
