I got this sleeping bag and used it for three nights of car camping before I met Steve. After that I used one of his down bags, and then we got new zip-together bags for the wedding (awwww).
The Winterhawk is taking up valuable sleeping bag storage space (with two new down bags plus the second-oldest down bag as a spare). I've been hanging onto it because it's in perfect shape but it's time to let it go. I think I paid $130 plus taxes for it and I'll let it go for $75 obo.
It's whatever the normal height is (not short or tall) and the best part is that it's a 'wide' model so if you sleep sprawled out, you won't feel like you're in a straightjacket. It's used ever so lightly but you can also wash it in your machine at home (I didn't do this; knock yourself out if you want).
I thought it would be a great bag and would be nice and versatile: not too warm but warm enough, not very heavy, durable and comfy -- and it would have been if I hadn't met Steve. It's been stored in a cotton MEC bag so that it's still nice and lofty. I'm not entirely sure I could lay my hands on its original stuffsack at this point in time.
I can't link to it on the MEC website as it was discontinued last year. |
