Hey guys,

The pictures look great and the stories sound awesome. Do you folks head out on canoe trips often? I'd love to be able to take part in one. Being fairly new to ClubTread, I don't know if I've missed out on a trip opportunity, or if there'll be others, etc.

Thanks for your time,

MECperson....When we get some rain and the level of the creek rises, we are planning on going again. There were a few people who wanted to join us, but the dates didn't work. So, just sign on when you see a posting. Won't be until fall, though.

When the trails open up and the fire hazard is gone, there will be lots of stuff happening.

Bikerider, that sounds awesome - thanks! I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled to the forums here.

I used to do a lot of canoeing/camping/portaging when I lived in Ontario. The network of lakes and rivers there is awesome. But since moving to BC, I haven't been out paddling at all (with the exception of a week sea kayaking in the Queen Charlottes'). So you could say that I'm going through a bit of withdrawl these days...

MecKid, if you kayak, you could paddle out of Deep Cove. They rent there. If you have your own boat, even better. Lots of people leave from Deep Cove and paddle into Indian Arm and back.
