When you select any of these options, whatever you've selected always automatically goes to the bottom of the post, instead of the place in the middle of the post where you might have clicked to indicate that's where you want it.
(Sorry if I'm not using the correct terminology as I am not fluent in computer-ese - am I making sense here?)
Often I write something out in full and then decide I want to add an emoticon or highlight certain sentences in bold or bright colours, but the thing always goes to the end of the post instead of where I've clicked. I end up having to cut and paste it to where I want it. If I want it large, italic, underlined, bold and blue, in a "Century Gothic" font for example, this ends up being a LOT of cutting and pasting.
On other forums I use, you can just put it where you indicate you want it using a simple click.
Is this easy to fix? |

I've never experienced that problem. I just type in what I want and if I want to change a font or bold or whatever I just highlight the text I want to format and then click the appropriate format button. I can't reproduce your problem. |

I use Firefox on WinXP and I have the same issues as wilderness_seeker.
Highlighting and selecting does not work for changing size, font or colour - I have to cut and paste. |

| I use Windows Internet Explorer 7 on WinXP... maybe this is a browser related issue. |

This is a test using Internet Explorer.
Hey it works!!!
So the problem is only when I use Firefox.
It'd be nice if it worked properly with Firefox though. |
