Just wondering if anyone has used these snowshoes, and if they are any good? I have not done any snowshoeing before, and figure if I can get me and the wife shoes for free, we might as well.
So my question is, are these even worth getting?

| well from what they look like i would say that they are better than nothing. and if you have never snowshoes before there is no point in heading out and buying $250 shoes and then realizing that you don't enjoy it. and also. free is the best price..... |

You know, that is sort of what I thought, but I know I will enjoy it, and would hate to get them just to have to go buy another pair. But I guess then I would have a pair that I could lend out when someone wants to come with. Hmmmmmm, decisions. Thanks, Dave. Anyone else have any opinions?

| I would save your points and get a pair of MSR snowshoes. They're really good for the wet snow we get on the Coast. They've got the teeth that will give you a decent grip on icy snow and traverse bars that help you walk sideways across a hill without flailing. |

i agree , save for the msr snow shoes , well worth it - bomb proof - idiot proof and can fix extra tails on , and have a resale value more than $10 |
