I was wondering if anyone could suggest any good snowshoeing trips in the rockies that would be good for a 1 or 2 night winter camping trip.
I'm looking to spend the night[s] in snow caves and was thinking a max 5-6 km's would be good per day. Were not going to be very perpared for avalanches [equipment, # of people, etc.] so would like to avoid anything with any exposure to that.
I'll admit I haven't looked to hard for any trip reports on this subject so if there are any previous forums/trip reports I would greatly someone steering me in the right direction.

I see you're from "the Hat" area, so I assume you'll be looking for something closer than I could suggest. However, here's a link to winter shelters, ice travel(lakes/rivers)and winter camping tips etc... that you might find useful. http://www.princeton.edu/~oa/winter/ |
