Hey:
Just got an email from an outdoor club member saying that there was some access issues around the Whaleback, and that they got yelled at by the landowner who said they were trespassing.
Anybody know anything about this? I've sent an email to the person, but looking for whatever feedback I get get.
Hey. Speaking of Feedback. Anybody use the southwest AB book? Anybody have any comments, corrections? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Tensions run a little higher around hunting season. Also I think there is some private land around the Whaleback area in which case they should ask for permission if that's where they were (although it is sometimes hard to track down the appropriate person).

Generally West of hwy 22 from Crowsnest highway 3 north to Maycroft or so. I've only hiked in there once http://www.clubtread.com/sforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22570 , beautiful area.

I heard back from the club member; turns out they were accessing it from the west side, which crosses private land. Okay, so most of the Whaleback is on private land; it accesses from someone else's private lands.
Anyway. False alarm. Thanks for your prompt attention. |
