Dose anyone know the snow conditions on the Ptarmigan Ridge trail at from Artist's point?

Are the meadow areas snow free, will there be any flowers this year at all !??

According to the US Forest site it still is snow covered:
08/07/2007: SNOW
Snow covered. Ice axe and crampons are recommended. This trail is only recommended for people who are experienced with snow travel and are familiar with the trail. Please use blue bags for human waste. (7/30 report)
