Hi All:
I recently discovered this forum while looking for trail info on Northover Ridge. Now having returned, I'd like to post this note:
FOUND - nearly new hiking poles in PLPP at GR199138 in very interesting location. Owner may claim by posting description of poles and the story on how they came to be there.

| Clendinning Valley? (North West of Squamish). A valley where no one has gone before. If so, they are mine. If they are mine, story to follow. |

Sometimes if I am going to do an off trail scramble I will leave my poles behind at some point and pick them up later. Hopefully that's not the case. Leave poles where you find them please. |

I was coming down the north end of Pocaterra ridge when I became separated from my group. Not knowing which way to go to hit the highway, I put down my poles and got out my map and compass. Having determined the direction I needed to go, with map in one hand and compass in the other, I walked towards the road, forgetting the poles. By the time I remembered that I had left them, it was impossible to find them. They are Chinook Technical poles, one silver, one green.quote: Originally posted by need2speed

I see that some people are challenged at reading grid references. |

I left some behind for that reason on the Baby Munday approach (black & blue Scott ski poles). Unfortunately, I forgot to pick them up on the way back...
Good thing I've got 2 other sets. |
