You don't seem to be getting much response so I'll chime in with my complete lack of experience on the Olympic Peninsula.

In Glenn Woodsworth's book on Hot Springs of Western Canada, page 93 - 100, two hot springs (one commercialized, one not) seem to fall along a route that looks like the perfect length for a 1-2 night excursion. It looks like only a few miles SW of Port Angeles, you hike up Boulder Creek past Olympic Hot Springs, over Appleton Pass, and then down Soleduck Creek past Sol Duc Hot Springs (the commercialized ones). You could go it in either direction, I'm sure. Trail starts and ends in two different places so a shuttle would be neccesary.

the High Divide trail up from Sol Duc Hot Springs. Moose Lake and Grand Pass from Obstruction Point Parking Lot. Also Hoh River Trail.
