Snow starts at the first view of Lions ridge. Lots of drinking water. Only one couple other than me. Most of the flies were around the first ridge elevation. Went up to base of Lions but did not feel like challenging fear of heights so went back down to first view and tried to climb up Lions north side. It was actually not very steep but I wasnt in the mood.

Tried Lions again but failed as usual. Only one other person there. Bugs were only bad around the first view. I tried the same route again but I didnt feel good about going over the moat even when I was tied to my ice axe.

This was not the moat I didnt cross. I couldnt see the moat I didnt cross.
