Strange coincidence. I pulled out my 'scrambles' by Matt Gunn book just today. It's like my bible now. Shame on me for not looking at it for the last 4 months...lol...wonder why. Anyway, it would have a lot of ideas for you. I suggest you purchase a copy and support the work he put in to it.

Is it specific to SWBC or does it cover a larger area. Where would I find it, MEC? I notice thay don't have a section on books on there website.

Thanks

I think Brandywine mountain is a pretty good starter. Not too difficult with great views. I drove to the trailhead last year in my '89 K car, so most vehicles should be able to make it (Note: I think there's an alternate 4wd approach -- obviously you don't want to go that way in a 2wd).

But like burnabyhiker said, pick up a copy of Matt Gunn's scrambles book. It'll give you lots of ideas.

Locomotive, Weart, Castle Towers (West summit), Price, Black Tusk, Overlord, Marriott, Vantage are all moderate scrambles, very rewarding and easily accessed by 2WD.
