VERY VERY nice!!! I hope to do Haleakala this year, but that's about the extent of my budget. Cook Islands and New Zealand are on the list. Look forward to seeing some European trip reports once you get settled.

Thanks guys, travelling is our favorite thing in the world and we love to share with people and get them interested in all those beautiful places the same way we like to hear about other people's travels.
We will keep reporting from Spain but now we have to cath a flight so the rest of the trip report will be concluded from a diferent computer across the pond. |

Thanks for the report. You guys are really making the rounds!
Tell me. Can you still stay on One Foot in Aitutaki all by yourselves?
We did that years ago. Had our own private island except for the visits by the tourist boats for a couple of hours a day. I've heard they've since built a souvenir shop for the day trippers and there is now a "night watchman" residing there. |

| Wow. That was rad. Hawaii is such a beautiful and diverse place. New Zealand, ditto. I would love to backpack the South Island highcountry. |

Pathfinder: One foot island claims to have the smallest post office in the world, where you can take your passport and they will stamp it for you with their very special stamp. Of course people pay lots to be taken there with their passports, amused like children. We kayaked instead and got to the islands beside it, had a blast and the place for ourselves.
I think you can stay in any of the islands as long as the owner of the island doesn´t find out, camping by the way is prohibited in the Cook Islands but I´ve heard of people camping anyways.... |

A post office on One Foot??? I guess that's "progress" after hosting the American Survivor. Did you know that the lagoon and its islands hosted the original (British) Survivor?
Glad to hear you found a place to have for yourselves. Good luck with the rest of your journey. |
