What is the earliest time of the year that you can realistically do this hike. Are the flowers out in late June/early July

Technically talking this trail is in BC so you may like also to post it on BC board.

We attempted it in mid-march and it was a no-go. Then we tried it again in may and I think it was okay, for a while, till the higher elevations. Unless it's been a really warm april back there, I wouldn't expect to get up to the alpine on Kindersley summit till into mid-june, I'd say.... maybe beginning of june but it'll be sloppy.
