Just a quick note. The gear articles are going to be a little less frequent as I struggle with topics and gear. As previously mentioned, I am recieving some interest from gear reps and will be organizing some gear distribution to testers who are commited to meeting deadlines for some of the reviews. As we may convert to a gearwiki format in the future, we are currently evaluating the current digest form of the reviews and your input is inportant to us.

| great article, Hiker Boy! I bought a Lowe Alpine eVent jacket at a factory sale a few years ago, and I've had no issues with wind resistance. It's an excellent jacket! i'm hoping to see more eVent stuff come out... too bad about Goretex's market dominance... |

I heard that event is purposely keeping its products only to certain companies in order to keep its value high while they can only produce so much of it. That way they will expand once the demand is high enough to be able to pay for the cost of increased production. Peter |

| I have a simple Event jacket made by Taiga (I bought it as a demo model for $20). I've had it over a year, used it lots, and I'm very happy with it. It's very lite weight, reasonably water resistant and has done just fine as a wind jacket. Plus it even has pit zippers! Is it safe to assume that Event be retreated like Goretex? |
