I just thought of a great idea, I think...
Clubtread.com bumper stickers, charge $10 a pop to cover the costs... More visitors will flock to the site, as anyone drives around town with a clubtread bumper sticker many prople would see it in traffic. Anyone likely interested in hiking would likely jot the website url down.
I doubt you are searching for more visitors... But I am sure it would draw more.
I'd buy a clubtread bumper sticker for $10 if they were available and put it on my truck bumper.. Who knows maybe I'd get some honks from other clubtread folks...
Just an idea... I suspect your busy as it is Jim :)

| Why would some one want to put a clubtread bumper sticker on their car? I just don't get it. |

I do not wear t-shirts or clothing with any advertising of any product on the market and my car feels the same way. Spreading the CT enjoyment by word of mouth is far more effective and personal rather than causing poor eyesighted people like me to have rearenders trying to read the print of a bumper sticker. |

| Collecting outdoor company stickers seems to be a big thing with people. I have a bunch and also have some from other outdoor sites so it does have some merit. Lots of people like to plaster their cargo boxes with them..not sure about bumber sticker size ones though. |

| I actually was looking into them a few months back to see what sort of options there were. The choices of shapes and sizes is vast. What sort of sizes and shapes is preferred? |

Rectangle easy to read the website url , with some hiking wording (likely Club Tread Hiking Club?) Doesn't even have to be in colour / black & white, blue & white, or whatever 2 colors even (white background easy to see). Even better, use the same logo as on the embroidered patches as a die. You could do them cheap, no need to be fancy colours, it would keep the cost down too.
Key with them would be so the URL can be seen most importantly, if you mention hiking on it, most hikers would write down the url I imagine. Whereas they may not clue in with just clubtread.com etc.
When I go to tims almost every day, people will see it on the bumper of my 4x4 and write it down :) Other clubtreaders will honk too !
In general bumper stickers can be awesome for advertisement, (pending on what it is your marketing). The more someone drives around the more people will become aware of the club. The best thing is , that most clubtread folks maybe proud to be a part of it and put a sticker on their car, like me :) And of course some have new cars and prefer not to. But the stickers could end up anywhere not just a car, or truck, toolbox, computer monitor :), used anywhere.
Best part of it all is that with the price of each (Guessing around $10+?) that we would pay enough to of course make it worth your while and at the same time, drawing more folks here. AND I'd be happier if my bumper had one.
I guess the best thing to do would be to see if others would buy them. |

I just visited the "CT Store" and like the triangular design on the bandana. That would get my vote. A good idea. I have family way out of town and even in town who lurk because the TRs are always so good. One tr was so good that we are hooking up this summer to do it. I guess my point is that the CT Site probably does a lot more for outdoor/tourist promotion than might be expected. A CT decal or bumpersticker can only help. |
