Hi bcamp.
For things like that, google is a pretty good resource. Type lol into google and you'll see immediately that it usually stands for laugh out loud or some variation.

Remember, overuseage of LOL is one sign of the Internet nutcase. You know, people that put it at the end of every sentence? Creepy. Just plain creepy.
