I use the active hiking topics link that's just under the recent posts because I scan that first and tab open anything I might want to read.
I like having the variety on the recent posts. What I call a hiking topic and what someone else calls a hiking topic can be very different. What if 5 most recent topics are all rock climbing TR's and the other 3 are about CT dinners sign ups or pictures. To me they're not hiking but rather CT. I'm more likely to talk about Borat than macro photography while i'm hiking too hehe.
That's what makes it CT and not just another "hiking" site.
