On a recent trip we had a pack rat invade our camp. Here's a picture of how he was setting up camp in one of our trucks. This was after we chased him off a couple times. We were lucky that we checked our vehicles before leaving, no doubt one of them would have caught fire.

Take a long hard look at your wiring harnesses. rodents love chewing on those, sh*t you not. On the bright side, having worked as a detailer for years i've seen a lot of small animal related crap in engines and never saw one catch fire. stink,yes.
