Kendall Katwalk
We took a dayhike up to the Kendall Katwalk with my daughter and a roommate from Stanford the last summer weekend/Labor day to close out our summer. We took the 75-mile drive from Yakima and met our daughter, Heidi, and Dawn as they returned from Seattle. The trailhead is at Snoqualamie Pass along Interstate 90. We hauled up lunch and drinks, but ended up eating close to a pint of huckleberries along the trail.
The hike is about a 10–1/2 mile round trip and has a 2700 foot vertical gain. A beautiful warm, sunny day.

As we finished and drove towards home (laughing at the poor souls in bumper-to-bumper traffic heading the opposite way to Seattle), we hit Roslyn, WA (aka Sicily, Alaska) for a post-hike pizza and enjoy the small town ambience.

| Looks like a really neat hike! Not to mention going to Sicily Alaska (that's been awhile! Yikes). Where exactly would you find this trail - is it close off the interstate there? |

It is right at the Snoqualamie Pass summit. Perhaps 3/4 on the Alpental road. ********************* Kendall Catwalk: - Take Interstate 90 to Exit 52 at Snoqualmie Pass (Exit 53 from the East). From the Alpental road go to the Pacific Crest Trail parking lot. The trail is part of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Ok, I know where that is then.
I've looked at that area a few times wondering what it was like. One day - Pacific Crest trail - I would love to do some or all of that. |

If you had some Kendall Mint Cake you could have made the Kendall Katwalk into a Kakewalk
