I borrowed this picture from the Cheam thread to give us girls a good view of our fun scramble! (thanks Karl for taking it!)

Well done ladies. I was tempted to join in the fun and arrive in a dress myself, but alas, no time. (And my wife didn't want to give up her good outfits).
So what kind of theme hike are the guys planning? In Speedo to Sky Pilot, in drag to Deeks, in habit to Hanover? |

Guys are not brave enough to do things like this. What would be really cool is to see them all wear a tie and a shirt climbing up a peak. And maybe then just maybe us girls who wear dresses could accompany them... |

Great job Ladies
It would be cool to plan a hike or a climb in period outfits, like hobnailed boots, wool knickers and so on. I would join or organize that. Need the stuff though......... |

Very cool girlies!! You rock! I love the "heaven" shots. Very nice. So were there any problems hiking in dresses? Climbing fences? Picking blueberries? Scrambling with a guy below you! I would have joined in but was on a yacht sailing for Bowen Is. yesterday. A rather nice day indeed! Next time! How about a Halloween Hike?!?!? |

Looks like lots of fun and I like the idea of wearing a suit and tie on a moderately challenging hike. There is a great shot of one of the better known climbers in the Squamish climbing book wearing just such an outfit on a 5.10 lead, I believe so we CAN do it. We just choose not to, most of the time . And unlike dresses, skirts and kilts, it would definately not be cooler although it might be the best use for those old polyester suits. At least no cotton! |
