Okay......
Wilderness Seeker and myself want to hike and by golly we are going to hike!!!

We will leave on Friday afternoon. WS gets off work around 1pm and I have the day off so will be ready to go by then. It would be nice to get an early start. If this works we should be able to make camp before nightfall. If we have to leave later for some reason we will probably car camp on the road nearer the trailhead.
We will (most likely) return sometime Monday. (Probably in the afternoon as I have the night off now.)
Once there we will be exploring the area and doing some scrambling up onto the nearby peaks.
Anyone else interested?

Q, I would really love to go... But I have my wabbit this weekend with me!

Anyone interested in looking after my bunny wabbit so I can go hiking with the gals?

No, no share custody, she's all mine... But now that I think about it I won't be able to do this trip as I might also have some other plans for a day or two. I was going to delete my reply but you were too quick! I'll keep this one in mind though if the other trip gets cancelled... and if someone is interested in looking after Cannelle.

Cool!
hike in van/nomad: Don't worry about getting Friday off. You should be able to make it up there by nightfall if you left right after work. What time can you leave by? Do you have a car?
the drive I think is about 3 hours.(my speed) The hike less than that. You might have a wee bit of night hiking but it would be through easy terrain. We could always hike down and meet you if night hiking with just two worries you. Or if we think the trail would be hard to follow.
walkies/ladybug: hope you will make it up there!

If you can't make it up on Friday, you could always come up on the Saturday and meet us there!

If there's anybody driving up on Saturday with one extra spot in the car, Eva would like to join you guys. I'll be most likely down on the volcano, otherwise I'd come, too. Marriott basin has been on our list for quite the time.

Vlad, there is a chance I could leave on Saturday and maybe Eva could drive with me... This isn't an official yes so if she finds a spot with someone else tell her to go ahead and not wait for me.

I should have an official plan by tomorrow hopefully. Just so you know though, if I leave Saturday I would come back Monday at the same time as the rest of the group. And if I end up leaving Friday then I might have to come back Sunday instead. Everything is still in the air at the moment for me but I've been thinking really hard about all this as I have to get out of my place this weekend!

Cheers!

Come on all you wafflers! Hope you can all join in at some point! Would be nice to have a group together. I now have Monday night off so don't need to be back until later in the evening. Yay!!
If I can help anybody with a ride on Friday let me know. I still have 2 spaces left in my car but now really want to have the Friday to travel and hike up.

I'm going! Leaving Friday with you guys and coming back Sunday instead of Monday. Cannot leave the rabbit for a longer period than that, she will get too bored otherwise. pmichaels, I like your offer but can't afford to buy you a bottle of wine and pay for the rabbitsitting on top of that. But thanks anyway, I appreciate it!

I guess I will have to drive as I am not coming back with you guys on Monday. If anyone is interested in doing Friday 1pm till sometime Sunday drop me a line, I have 2 more spots in my car.

And if no one else is interested in driving with me and if there is still some room in your car Q maybe I could hop into your car in Squamish. It is very likely I will be able to drive back to Squamish with blackfly Sunday as I think he will be going in the same area as us and I might spend half of the trip with him and Harpa. Nothing sure yet so if others want to go with you don't save me a spot, give them priority.

This is going to be fun no matter what we end up doing over there...

Hey SS!
ARe you just going to drive up on your own? Did you want to meet WS and I for dinner along the road somewhere? Not sure where yet. Whistler might be an idea. We will be leaving from Broadway and Yukon at 12 or 1pm. Depending on WS's work.
Let me know if you want to stick together otherwise we shall meet you on the trail or somewhere up there.
Does everyone have their own directions for getting up there? Sounds fairly straight forward. Remember, once on the trail, at the junction, to take the trail marked "Aspen". (The other is to Rohr Lk which we may check out at some point) If anyone needs other instructions let me know.
For those arriving later. My tent is a green Mountain Hardwear Approach. That is unless I buy a new MSR Hubba today! WS's tent is blue I believe? (Look for something retro!) We'll have some CT bandanas flying! OH wait! We don't have any yet!
See ya'll!
