I personally know a guy who killed a 200lb black bear with a 3 foot length of 2x4.
The conservation officer said he could keep the pelt, but he declined. |

| I ran into an agressive charging Black Bear last week.Gin my 110 pound Lab/Pit/Mastiv took care of the first few seconds while I ran down the trail like a friggin' little schoolgirl. One of the few times where I had nothing for protection but bearbangers, which probably did nothing but give me a false sense of security. It definately is a strange feeling when you are in a situation where your live is threatened by an animal that does not reason or care about anything but itself and it's cubs.We eventually went our own ways and nothing further happened. |
