| I know of one that goes from behind the nukusp commercial hot springs and winds its way past the old soaking pools eventually getting you to a lake its a good day hike and I would rate it as easy, sorry I don't remember the exact length of the hike when I did it around 3 years ago it was a well beaten path, |

If you are willing to drive...
Mount Brennan is a fantastic all day scrambe to the top. It is about 45mins to 1hr away, between New Denver + Kaslo. Well worth the hike up,

Some options Go into the tourist office in Nakusp - they have lots of brochures of local hikes. Check out Bivouac.com - lots of local hikes and scrambles. Buy the appalling Don't Waste Your Time in the West Kootenays guidebook. Go here: http://www.nakusparrowlakes.com/ |

| i second mt bennan - bring some gaiters though as you will surely be hiking in some snow at the top. others in the area would be alps alturas, whitewater canyon (be warned - its grizzy country) and enterprise creek/tanal lake (kootenay glacier). the guidebook mentioned is useful and has all of these hikes detailed. |
