$350 - Haynes Point July 31 to August 7

British Columbias most premium campsite.
This is for the purchase of a site reservation for the 31 July to August 7th.
Park Info: Surrounded by warm water and sandy beaches, Haynes Point sits on a pencil of land jutting into Osoyoos Lake. Situated in the rainshadow of the Cascade Mountains to the west and protected from the worst of winter storms by the Columbia Mountains to the east, this is Canada's only true desert area. The water is reported to be the warmest in Canada making it excellent for swimming, boating and fishing. Lakeside campsites and privacy make this a popular camping area and reservations are necessary during the summer months.
Special features: Wetlands are rapidly disappearing in the Okanagan Valley. The marsh area and self-guided interpretive trail are important features of the park.

Campsite scalpers? What's next?
Hmmm, $22 x 7 nights = $154 + $19.26 max campsite reservation give or take a few cents if tax is added onto this = $173.26
Quite a nice profit. |

| This is pathetic, particularly the "see it before its gone" approach used at the end. |

Wow -- I usually try to stay out of wading into topics like this, but this is really sad. Particularly for people who want to make a booking to spend the weekend out camping with their families and/or friends, but can't because some folks decide to book up the prime time and sell it off at an extraordinary profit. Makes me feel dirty just reading it...

I just sent an email to the Park's contractors to make them aware of this person's scalping. Don't know what they can do or if they really care but it's a start.
